Wow, It's summer!!

OMG! Where has the time gone? Wasn't it just Thanksgiving? Yeah, I know I'm not good at this at all. I warned all of you though at the git go. Anyway. It's amazing that our baby boy will be done with kindergarden in 2days!!!! He has 1/2 days both days then he will be a first grader. He's got a busy summer ahead and he can't wait. He's going to camp all summer and will be in Illinois for 2 weeks. That means vacation for me and Dennis! I will try even harder to keep this more up to date. Talk to ya'll soon.

I'm Back!

WOW! Where has these past few months gone? I can't believe this week is Thanksgiving and then CHristmas!!!!!! I thought I would stop by and update on all the Orns family happenings. Where should I begin?

Avery had a blast playing football this year. He was definately ready for the end though. They ended the season 5-5. They made it to the playoffs which was good since the Eastside team hadn't made it in a few years. We lost to the Westside team who went on to win it all! We were happy to have our weeknights and Saturdays back! Avery then decided he wanted to be in our church's childrens musical, so we gave up our Sunday afternoons so he could practice for that. We now have practice on Sundays and then during the week, will it ever end????!!!!

I went back to work in October. I got a job that I LOVE and thank God for everyday! I'm working for ORAU which does alot of Dept. of Energy contracts. It's hard to believe that 2 months ago I was a stay at home mom/homemaker and now I work for the goverment!! LOL I find it quite amusing.

Dennis is still driving a concrete truck and doing alot of other things at the plant. There are nights I don't see him till after dark and some that he doesn't go to work until after midnight.

Hopefully I can keep this updated now and post pictures more. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! We will be in Illinoise from Wed - Sunday so I should have pictures to post then!

Go East Side Wildcats!

Avery had his very forst football game Saturday and boy did he do good!!! His team played the Clinton Dragons and beat them 20-0!!! I was wondering if there would be any "real" playing and I got my answer on the first play!! We scored everytime we had the ball!!!!! Avery played offensive tackle and did a great job at holding back the other team. He definately has football running through his veins. As you can tell in the pictures the kids look like bobbleheads running around. Avery is #22

Avery I think has found something he really likes to do and he doesn't whine about going to practice 3 times a week. His coach says that Avery is a natural and that he can see Avery will have a long football career. If you want to see more footbal pics let me know and I;ll send you the album!

So Busy!!!!!

Wow! What a busy summer this has been! I feel like it should be Christmas already. Sorry I haven't updated in awhile, but now you know why. I'm working on getting all the summer pictures into a snapfish album so you can see all of them there. Anyway let me update you on what is going on here in the great state of Tennessee.

Avery started football lastweek! He loves it. We have our first game this Saturday. We're traveling to Campbell County which is about an hour away and playing a team from the town next to us!!! We think it's funny to go that far to play a team 10 mins down the road. He's super excited though. I hope to get lots of pictures and will fill you all in on the game.

My niece Zoe who is 10 was here lastweek and boy did we stay busy! Avery had never met Zoe and he fell in love with her. I hadn't seen her in in a few years and was excited to get to know her better. She stayed with us while my parents were at work and she spent a couple of nights here too! We went to the zoo on the first day. We got up early and spent most of the day there. Avery had football practice that night so we rushed home for that. Zoe spent the night that night and I figured they would crash early...... NOPE! They were both up till 1:30 AM!!!!!!!! I thought I was gonna die. They finally went to bed and so did I. The next day wasn't as bad since there wasn't much planned. We went to the pool on Thursday and had a blast. On Saturday Me, My mom, Avery, Zoe, my nephew Andrew and 2 of his friends went to Dollywood. All I can say is it was a LONG, fun day! We hated to see her go back home to Oklahoma. Avery keeps asking when she's coming back,. I'm happy he got to know another one of his cousins.

Well, I have to fix lunch. I will get those pics out to you. Hopefully I will get better at updating this. I will post when I can so just keep checking back.

Avery is 5!!!

Can you believe Avery is 5??? It seems like yesterday he was born. We had his party Saturday and boy were there alot of people here! Anyone who has been in our house knows we don't have a huge livingroom, and we had it full! Avery was excited that all the kids he invited were able to come except one. I outfitted all of them with bandanas and pirate hooks, swords,and compasses and sent them walking the plank and then on a treasure hunt! They LOVED it and were so excited to open the chest and find candy, beads, bracelets and coins inside. I will post some more pics of the party.

Since I have fallen behind on posting already I will post our weekend before on another day.

Ok, so I feel like a bad friend!! One of my bestest friends Taylor turned 30 on the 12th and I totally forgot!! I love you Tay and wish you a VERY VERY Happy Birthday! I love you!!!!

The Beginning!

Hello all! I thought I would create a blog so that everyone could keep up with us without a million phone calls. So much is going on this summer that this will be a lot easier and I will hopefully keep it updated and post pictures when I have them.
We got Avery all signed up for Kindergarten this month and he's ready to go. He has ask me almost everyday " Do I get to go to school tomorrow?" So sweet. I guess I'm gonna have to make him a calendar and put an "X" over each day as it passes. We also got him signed up to play football this fall. I can't wait to see my little bean pole with all those pads and a HUGE helmet running up and down the field!! LOL I can't believe he's ready to do all this stuff!!! Boy 5 years has flown by.

Last weekend we went to Pigeon Forge and visited with family that was in from Kentucky. We stayed up there one night then went back on Saturday so we could take full advantage of the FREE swimming pool! Avery usually freaks out at water, but we put is floatie suit on and away he went! He swam all over that pool and was jumping in by the time we forced him out. He had so much fun. I keep telling Dennis we need a pool in our yard! I will post some pics so you can see.
There's not much going on with me and Dennis. Dennis is still driving a concrete truck and I am staying at home with Avery until he starts school. I'm gonna go back to work full time since I know the school will take good care of him. It's kinda sad, but I'm looking forward to it. We just started leading a small group and love how God is using us in our church. I will get pictures posted as I get them!!
